Employment mediation, in person or by video

Lawrence Freiman mediates employment disputes for parties and counsel in California, Nevada, and Washington. He trained as a mediator at Pepperdine's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and has advocated for clients in hundreds of employment mediations before taking the mediator's chair.

To schedule, call (310) 917-1004 or email lawrence@freimanlegal.com.

What he mediates

Wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave and accommodation disputes, wage and hour claims, PAGA claims, severance negotiations, and executive separations. Single-plaintiff cases and multi-party disputes. Pre-suit and in litigation.

Why counsel choose him

He has tried these cases. A mediator who has never faced a jury cannot tell your client what a jury will do. Lawrence has, on the employee side, and knows the defense playbook from across the table.

He reads the risk, not the posture. Every mediation statement says the case is strong. He will tell each side, privately, where it is not.

He keeps working after the session. If the day ends without a deal, he follows up with both sides until it is done or it is clearly dead.

Format and logistics

  • In person in Santa Monica or at counsel's office in Los Angeles County.
  • By video for parties anywhere in the three states.
  • Half-day and full-day sessions.
  • Mediation briefs are due five days before the session and are confidential to the mediator unless counsel agrees to exchange them.

Fees

Rates are quoted when you schedule and confirmed in writing before the session.

Mediation services are offered to parties and their counsel. Lawrence Freiman does not represent either party in a matter he mediates.
