VIRTUAL MEDIATIONS

Lawrence Freiman is a trained mediator and conducts virtual and in person mediations for most employment and personal injury matters. Lawrence brings 15 years of experience as a trial lawyer as well as extensive training from Pepperdine’s Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution to help litigants settle their disputes. Lawrence believes that all motivated parties can achieve a mutually acceptable resolution by understanding the strengths and weaknesses of their case. Lawrence is empathetic, understanding and compassionate. Lawrence understands that while he is hopeful that disputes can be resolved in one session, resolution is not always possible and meticulously follows up until a resolution can be reached.

Lawrence understands that parties are not always available during normal business hours and makes himself available on a limited basis for weekend and/or evening mediations.

To book a mediation date, email Lawrence with the following information:

  • A case caption and service list (or if not in litigation), the names and contact information for all counsel and parties

  • Whether the mediation will be held by Zoom or in person (and desired location, if in person);

  • Requested time frame for dates; and

  • Information on the agreed-upon fee split

All parties must ensure that the appropriate decision makers, including any insurance representatives or other persons whose approval is necessary for resolution, are available to attend the mediation on the scheduled date unless we have made other arrangements. For virtual mediations, be sure to use a private, distraction-free space.

Mediation briefs are due seven days before the mediation via email and Lawrence seeks 10 pages or less. Unless, there are new developments in the law or the dispute involves a novel area of the law, extensive legal briefing is unnecessary. Additional information about the briefs will be provided in the initial letter to the parties.

Email lawrence@freimanlegal.com to inquire about Lawrence’s mediation availability, fee schedule, and to book a date.
